Welcome to Multilingual Learning!
Ms. Anca Vasiu and Ms. Allison Wood are EXPO's English Learner teachers. Ms. Vasiu supports students in grades 3-5 and Ms. Allison supports students K-2. They are very proud of the multilingual learners at EXPO and excited to partner with families and colleagues this school year.
Learning Goals in ELL at EXPO:
- Increase proficiency in English listening, speaking, reading, and writing
- Acquire essential academic and social language skills
- Build confidence using English in diverse contexts
Highlights of ELL at EXPO:
- The EXPO community typically includes students speaking 10 to 20 different languages.
- Students benefit from learning firsthand about diverse cultures and languages through positive peer interactions.
