9/30/2008 Aye, Mateys! It’s Full Sail Ahead Beautiful weather and a whole team of people chipped in to build the new playground components. It was truly a community effort. Parents, students, teachers, families, community members and even the HPSHS Varsity Football team pitched in to help. People were building, staining, cooking, and providing child care all weekend long. The North end of the playground now hosts a pirate ship, the South end has a climbing wall and tree house. It is wonderful and the students are very excited. They were patiently waiting for their turn on the wall and playing tag through out the tree house. A huge thank you goes out to the volunteers who helped pull this together, and especially to the playground committee that has been working on this project for almost two years. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
