Degrees and Certifications:
B.A. Anthropology, Luther College M.A. Teaching, University of St. Thomas
Ms. Sundet has been teaching in St. Paul for fifteen years, seven years at EXPO and eight years at Cherokee Heights Elementary. Previous to that, she worked as an educational assistant at both Como Elementary and Belwin Outdoor Science Lab. She got her B.A. in anthropology from Luther College, then spent time working in environmental education and landscaping with native plants before completing her teaching degree and master’s at St. Thomas.
In her free time, she enjoys time exploring the outdoors, hiking, biking, and camping, watching the Minnesota Lynx, reading, and spending time with her nephews and great-nieces. She grew up in Iowa, but has been at home in Minnesota most of her adult life and loves living in St. Paul.
She’s excited to be back with the EXPO community in a new role as a fifth grade classroom teacher this year, after enjoying years as a science specialist. Inspiring curiosity and sharing an excitement for learning are important facets of her classroom and part of the fabric of EXPO.
