Dani Larson is our Autism Spectrum Disorder Teacher working primarily with Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd graders. She is entering her third year here at EXPO and with St. Paul Public Schools. All together, this is her 8th year of teaching and working with students on the autism spectrum in the home, therapeutic, and school setting with individuals 3 to 18 years. Dani has a bachelor's degree in social work from Bethel University and a master's degree in Special Education (Autism Spectrum Disorders) from the University of St. Thomas.
Dani lives with her family in Mahtomedi near White Bear Lake. When Dani is not teaching at EXPO, she enjoys spending time with her family and the latest addition, Avery, who was born in April. Since Dani grew up in Grand Marais, as a family, they enjoy traveling and outdoor activities of any kind!
Overall, Dani was excited to join EXPO's special education team and work with such a talented team of educators and administrators. She is impreseed with the way the school is supported so strongly by parents and the community. She deeply feels that ALL students are able to learn and feels driven to creatively find avenues to teach all of her students.
