Jim Hinkley feels like he's the MOST fortunate member of the EXPO community, since he was part of the first crew of teachers assembled, back in the spring of 1990. Yes, that means the fall of 2016 is the beginnig of his 27th year here! He's been a classroom teacher (4 years) and computer specialist (10 years) and his dream-job, science specialist (12 years, so far).
When he's not at school Jim enjoys singing and playing music, going on walks with his wife (yes, she's also a teacher), and following his daughters' adventures. (One is in Costa Rica and one is in Japan.) He's lived in St Paul nearly 30 years, and he loves the friendly feel of our city.
He knows that EXPO is an incredibly special place. He's seen it continue through the years: this is a place full of joyous, engaged, high-functioning learners and deeply committed and creative professionals, that is blessed with the trust and cooperation of a unique and accomplished parent community.
"Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
